Job summary

American Tire Distributors, a national leader in tire distribution, is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to oversee inventory integrity across our network. You will lead Inventory Coordinators and Dispatchers, execute physical inventories, and resolve ISO discrepancies to ensure accurate stock in the ORACLE system.

• Bachelor's degree required; 7 years related experience including management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inventory recalls or product withdrawals as directed by management.
• Collaborate with local management to ensure warehouse compliance with inventory procedures and safety.
• Coordinate with international logistics teams to resolve pending shipping discrepancies.
• Ensure RTS (Return to Stock) and adjustment processes comply with company policies and keep Oracle data accurate.
• Lead and manage Inventory Coordinators and Dispatchers, including recruitment, training and development.
• Maintain integrity of the locator system for product placement and reconcile pick exceptions as needed.
• Monitor ASN emails for timely submission to relevant parties, including U.S. customs.
• Oversee dispatcher responsibilities to resolve outbound discrepancies and meet schedules.
• Plan and execute the distribution center's annual physical inventory process.
• Research and resolve ISO discrepancies reported by distribution centers; assist accounts payable with invoices.
• Review pending cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory entries in Oracle.

Under general supervision of the General Manager, the Inventory Control Manager oversees the integrity of the inventory through mandated corporate programs and execution of full physical inventory. Provides leadership and manages the day-to-day activities of Inventory Coordinator(s). Ensures completion of scheduled cycle counts and maintains the integrity of the locator system with regards to bin maintenance per Company guidelines. Reconciles all pick exceptions and schedule of inventory cycle counts as needed as well as research all ISO Discrepancies reported from serviced Distribution Centers. Champions, prepares, and executes the mixing center's annual physical inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with international logistics teams to resolve pending shipping discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure the distribution center's RTS (Return to Stock) and adjustment processes comply with company policies, tracking inventory flow to meet corporate turnover goals.
• Lead and manage Inventory Coordinators and Dispatchers, ensuring effective recruitment, training, and development to support operational excellence.
• Maintain integrity of the locator system for physical and systematic product placement within the distribution center, reconciling pick exceptions as needed.
• Monitor daily emails for Advanced Shipment Notifications (ASN's) to facilitate timely submission to relevant parties, including U.S. customs.
• Oversee dispatcher responsibilities to resolve outbound discrepancies promptly, meeting distribution center and Hub & Spoke schedules.
• Plan and execute the distribution center's annual physical inventory process effectively.
• Research and resolve ISO discrepancies reported by distribution centers, assisting corporate accounts payable with invoice discrepancies for timely resolution.
• Review pending cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory entries in the ORACLE system according to corporate guidelines.
