Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) seeks a senior leader to manage strategic operations programs and field technical support for a portfolio of commercial facilities. You will oversee engineering staff, drive building operations, develop strategic plans, and ensure consistent maintenance practices across the portfolio.

The role emphasizes leadership, supervision of multi-building operations, and robust knowledge of building systems, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 10+ years of direct supervision of multi-building operations.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems in commercial/critical facilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
• Experience with energy management and CMMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering staff to a high-performing team.
• Support building operations through integrated facilities management and engineering.
• Develop and maintain a strategic plan for the engineering team.
• Manage the service center, security, data management, and EHS teams.
• Identify and mitigate risks to client facilities.

What this job involves – This position is responsible for leading strategic operations programs, providing field technical support, and managing centralized operations activities. The role involves overseeing engineering staff, supporting building operations, developing strategic plans, and ensuring consistent maintenance management practices across the portfolio.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Leading and supporting the engineering staff to develop a high-performing team
• Supporting building operations through integrated facilities management and engineering
• Developing and maintaining a strategic plan for the engineering team
• Managing the service center, security, data management, and EHS teams
• Identifying and mitigating risks to client facilities
• Implementing and managing computerized maintenance management systems
• Administering the JLL Engineering Services Compliance Program
• Developing and implementing training programs based on skills assessments and safety requirements
• Overseeing the development and implementation of energy management programs

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of direct supervision of multi-building operations
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems in commercial/critical facilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
• Strong organizational skills and collaborative management style
• Read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos, with the ability to write simple correspondence, instructions and will also have the ability to explain issues in a clear and basic format dealing with operational and mechanical systems.
• Have the ability to effectively communicate and present information with customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business administration, engineering, engineering technology, or related field
• Experience with energy management and efficiency programs
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems
• Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations
• Experience in developing and implementing standard processes for utility consumption reporting

Estimated compensation for this position: 144,000.00 – 180,000.00 USD per year This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
