Job summary
Gentiva Hospice is seeking a Regional Director of Clinical Education to provide education on compliance, policies and regulatory requirements across South Carolina and western North Carolina. The role leads quality initiatives and assurance across assigned branches while coordinating with Medical Directors, Clinical Managers and executives.
Ideal candidates hold an RN license with a nursing degree, plus 2+ years in management within hospice; strong communication and organizational skills are

- Two years of managerial experience; hospice experience preferred.
- Familiarity with state and federal guidelines and regulations.
Responsibilities

- Coordinate with regional and corporate staff on a regular basis.
- Lead initiatives to drive clinical excellence by education on key performance topics.
- Respond to external complaint surveys and assist with resolutions.
- Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement activities.

The Regional Director of Clinical Education provides support and education on compliance, organizational policies and procedures and federal and state regulatory requirements to assigned branches through out South Carolina and western North Carolina . This position will also lead these branches through quality initiatives and quality assurance activities.
- Assist with education and monitor adherence with internal and external survey plans of correction.
- Coordinate with the appropriate area, regional and corporate staff, including Medical Directors/Hospice Physicians, Clinical Managers, Executive Directors, Area Vice Presidents of Operations and Administrators on a regular basis.
- Lead initiatives to drive clinical excellence by conducting education on key performance topics.
- First responder to external complaint surveys. Assist with the proper handling and resolution of any complaints from patients, families, and the public.
- Participate in the organization quality assessment and performance improvement program activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Familiarity with state and federal guidelines and regulations.
- Ability to work with confidential information.
- Well organized and confident to work independently, but is a team player.
- Ability to communicate clearly to remote field, mid-level, and executive staff.
- Exercise professional judgement and demonstrate good problem-resolution skills.
- Very comfortable working with multiple online and computer applications.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and manage conflicting priorities.
- Strong follow-up skills.
- RN degree required; bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Two years previous managerial experience, of which 3 years is in Hospice service industry, is preferred.
- Familiarity with state and federal guidelines and regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance coverage
- Unencumbered and active RN license in state of residence required if RN
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Basic PowerPoint skills
- Experience reviewing data in electronic systems
- Experience with HomeCare-HomeBase preferred
