Job summary

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice, Inc. is seeking a Regional Director to oversee programs and services across Southwest Florida from the Sarasota Office.

The role entails programmatic oversight, staff management, funding and budget oversight, grant applications and deliverables, donor relations, and community partnerships. The position requires a Catholic candidate with advanced degree in public administration or nonprofit management (or a BA with extensive senior management experience).

Qualifications

• Must be Catholic
• Master's Degree in Public Administration, Non-profit management or related fields with 3-5 years of management experience; OR Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years senior-level management experience with operational oversight.
• High level of organizational skill with the ability to prioritize and deliver results
• Sensitive to and respectful of cultural diversity amongst clients, staff and volunteers
• Excellent communication and listening skills that effectively represent Catholic Charities
• Strong work ethics and high ethical standards
• Successful completion of FDLE level II background screening
• Valid Florida Driver license: ability to drive agency vehicle and have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Oversee all Catholic Charities programs and services within the designated region
• Provide administrative and programmatic supervision and motivational leadership
• Research client complaints and coordinate solutions with program managers
• Support program managers in external audits and credentialing
• Ensure licensure compliance with State and Federal requirements
• Assist fundraising committees and donor relations efforts within the district
• Network with community providers and parish-based ministries for referrals
• Represent the agency on local planning and advisory groups
• Manage grants, funder relationships, and reporting requirements
• Identify new funding sources to grow the region
• Develop program evaluations and standards of care
• Prepare reports for the agency and funders
• Recruit, hire, train, and retain staff; participate in budget development
• Ensure compliance with training, safety, and operational policies
• Participate in PQI and accreditation processes
• Perform other duties to fulfill the mission of Catholic Charities, DOV.

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice, Inc. has over 30 sites of combined office locations, housing developments and outreach services with over 100 staff under the guidance of the Chief Executive Officer. Job Scope

The Regional Director is responsible for overseeing programs and services provided by Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice. This includes programmatic oversight, staff management, funding/budget management, grant application/deliverables, performance improvement initiatives, donor relations, community partnership and fundraising activities. Participation in community partnership meetings, meeting with funders as needed, outreach of all parishes within the geographical area, conducting regional meetings and site visits, assisting Program Directors with problem solving and program development and providing monthly written reports to the COO and CEO.

• Responsible for overseeing all programs and services provided by Catholic Charities
• Provide administrative and programmatic supervision as well as motivational leadership
• Research all client complaints and work with program managers to provide solutions
• Assist and support the program managers in any external audit process and credentialing
• Ensure that all licensure processes are within State and Federal requirements
• Assist and contribute to all fundraising committees within the district
• Network and partner with community providers and Catholic parish-based ministries within the district regarding program services and referral of clients
• Represent the agency on local planning, advisory and collaborative committees and groups
• Work to assist with the Grant and Funder relationships and with all other responsible activities including grant writing, compliance and reporting
• Continually strive to discover new sources of funding, both private and public, to grow the area
• Develop effective evaluations of programs including process and outcome measures and standards of care
• Prepare reports as required by the agency and funders
• Ensure that program and administrative record keeping is prompt and accurate
• Recruit, hire, evaluate, train and retain program staff
• Participate in budget development and management
• Ensure proper compliance with all training, safety and operational policies and procedures
• Participate in agency Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) program and accreditation
• Other duties as assigned to fulfill the mission of Catholic Charities, DOV.
