Job summary

The University of Notre Dame is hiring a Director of Regional Development to advance our mission by unlocking the grace of giving. The role focuses on identifying, cultivating, stewarding and securing leadership gifts, with travel across seven US regions and frequent engagement with senior donors.

Reporting to a Senior Director of Regional Development, you will build long-term partnerships with benefactors, collaborate with academic and development teams, and travel extensively to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of related experience required.
• Ability to build rapport with donors, benefactors, and colleagues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; highly organized and able to manage time effectively.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, access, integrity, learning and anti-racism.
• Willingness to travel regionally and support travel planning and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate and solicit gifts connecting donors with Notre Dame priorities.
• Develop long-term relationships with current and future benefactors to sustain the university's mission.
• Represent Notre Dame at regional and campus events; travel, evenings and weekends required (50%).
• Collaborate with academic leaders and Development colleagues to align donor visions with university needs.
• Meet annual fundraising goals and align with department priorities.
• Abide by the University Mission & Core Values and consent to regional travel across specified areas.
