Job summary

Dental Care Alliance in New York is seeking a Traveling Dental Assistant to support our clinical teams across multiple office locations. You will provide chairside assistance, help maintain efficient operations, and contribute to positive patient experiences in a dynamic, team-based environment.

  • One-year certified dental assistant program (preferred).
  • 1 year on-the-job experience.
  • Willing to travel to any NY office locations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
  • Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
  • Assist dentist in managing dental and medical emergencies with CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and directory.

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, flexible and patient-focused Traveling Dental Assistant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a motivated dental professional who enjoys variety in their work environment and is willing to travel between multiple office locations to support patient care and clinical operations.

The Traveling Dental Assistant will provide chairside assistance, maintain clinical efficiency, and ensure exceptional patient experiences across all practice locations.

Qualifications
  • Completion of a one‑year certified dental assistant program - Preferred
  • 1 year on‑the‑job experience
  • Must be willing to travel to any of our NY office locations
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
