Job summary

QTS is seeking a Manager, Facilities Operations Engineering Commissioning to oversee commissioning, continuous improvement, and developmental support for sites in a geographic region.

You will lead commissioning activities across electrical, mechanical, life-safety and building automation systems, coordinate testing, and drive design reviews with project teams. This regional role requires travel and strong leadership, project management and vendor oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of engineering experience in technical/critical environments
• 5+ years in data center engineering, commissioning or project management
• 3+ years of management/supervisory experience overseeing engineering/operations managers

Responsibilities

• Manage the commissioning team in the assigned region and develop capabilities
• Oversee testing and witness commissioning to validate sequences and docs
• Support site construction activities to ensure design and installation meet standards
• Lead cross-functional teams to drive quality, safety and on-time turnover
• Develop and track commissioning plans for multiple levels of systems and subsystems
• Drive continuous improvement and share lessons with program management team
• Ensure SOPs, MOPs and ERP procedures are followed at sites
• Interface with vendors, engineering, development and operations teams
• Maintain relationships with staff and executive management
• Ensure training and growth of staff
