Job summary

Midway Mechanical Services seeks a Regional Controller to lead accounting operations across the Intermountain West business units, driving financial discipline and timely reporting. This on-site role partners with operations leadership to support growth and profitability.

As a senior finance leader, you will oversee multiple entities, mentor staff, and influence regional strategy while ensuring GAAP compliance and robust internal controls in a fast-paced mechanical contracting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2–3+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience with WIP and percent-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Background in construction, HVAC, or mechanical contracting.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes across regional entities.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Monitor KPIs, job costing, WIP schedules, and variance analysis.
• Ensure GAAP compliance, including percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Oversee and mentor regional accounting staff.
• Partner with operations leaders to drive profitability and financial discipline.
• Support annual audits and compliance requirements.
• Implement process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
