Job summary

Aquatech International is seeking a Regional Controller to join our Canonsburg, PA office. This full-time, day-shift role oversees accounting operations in a manufacturing environment and ensures GAAP compliance, with responsibilities across financial reporting, budgeting, and controls.

The ideal candidate will have a 4-year accounting degree or higher, CPA/MBA preferred, and 7+ years of experience in financial management. Strong leadership and ERP/Excel proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA/MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in financial management or controller roles, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial analysis, and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve financial operations’ efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements following GAAP.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage costing for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Conduct variance analysis between actual results and budgets/forecasts, with insights for senior management.
• Develop KPIs to monitor operational efficiency and cost controls in manufacturing.
• Identify financial trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage all accounting processes: A/R, A/P, budgeting, forecasting.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure policy compliance and controls.
• Develop and maintain internal control systems for accurate financial reporting.

Aquatech has an immediate opening for a full-time Regional Controller, to join our team. This person will work out of our Canonsburg Pa office location. The hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements, following GAAP standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage costing for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
• Conduct variance analysis between actual results and budgeted/forecasted financial outcomes, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational efficiency and cost controls in the manufacturing process.
• Identify and communicate financial trends, metrics, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage all aspects of the organization’s accounting processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Responsible for all A/R, A/P, banking, purchasing transactions
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with overall organization policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain internal control systems to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, (CPA/MBA preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in a financial management or controller role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial analysis, and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve financial operations' overall efficiency and effectiveness

Skill Requirements

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong working knowledge and experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP)
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience in capital project- or engineering-driven businesses with international operations
