Job summary

Aquatech currently seeks a Regional Controller to join our Canonsburg, PA team. This on-site, exempt role supports GAAP reporting, cost accounting, and cash management. Work hours are 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with a strong emphasis on internal controls and leadership across finance functions.

Requirements include a BA in Accounting, 7+ years in financial management (manufacturing preferred), and proficiency with ERP systems (SAP). CPA or MBA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required; CPA/MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in financial management or controller roles, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong cost accounting knowledge, financial analysis, and ERP system experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in GAAP.
• Monitor inventory costing for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Develop KPIs to monitor operational efficiency and cost controls.
• Manage A/R, A/P, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain internal controls for accurate financial reporting.

Aquatech has an immediate opening for a full-time Regional Controller, to join our team. This person will work out of our Canonsburg Pa office location. The hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.

The Controller is responsible for an organization's overall financial health and day-to-day financial operations . Position requires Controller to be on-site. Candidate must have strong cost accounting experience and familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements, following GAAP standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage costing for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
• Conduct variance analysis between actual results and budgeted/forecasted financial outcomes, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational efficiency and cost controls in the manufacturing process.
• Identify and communicate financial trends, metrics, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage all aspects of the organization’s accounting processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Responsible for all A/R, A/P, banking, purchasing transactions
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with overall organization policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain internal control systems to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, (CPA/MBA preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in a financial management or controller role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial analysis, and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve financial operations' overall efficiency and effectiveness
