Transdev is seeking a Regional Controller in Lombard, IL to lead project accounting and financial reporting for multi-site operations. The role emphasizes accuracy, proactive analysis of profitability and cash flow, and close collaboration with local management.
Ideal candidates will have Big 4 experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, and 5+ years in financial performance assessment; CPA/MBA and IFRS exposure are pluses. On-site position with standard benefits and travel expectations.
THIS IS A FULLY ONSITE ROLE LOCATED IN LOMBARD, ILLINOIS
The Regional Controller role requires a highly efficient, detail-oriented, proactive individual, with construction and/or project accounting experience. Big 4 Accounting experience preferred. The Regional Controller works closely with each local General Manager and staff to provide monthly financial statements and forecasts along with analyzing profitability, cash flow, and other financial data on a per project basis. This role manages the financial and administrative activities at the assigned properties to assure compliance with corporate policy and procedure.
Annual salary range: $110,000 to $137,000

Based in our Lombard, IL North American Headquarters, reporting to our Vice President of Finance.
Provide status of financial performance of the company’s operations through the collection, reporting, and interpretation of key financial data.
Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget process and assist the General Manager in the creation of the budgets and forecasts.
Prepare or assist in the creation of financial projections used to make strategic and tactical decisions designed to improve financial results.
Ensures adherence and compliance with company policy and procedure while also providing counsel to the General Manager and on-site management team.
Prepares and coordinates daily reporting, monthly closing, and other reporting requirements as required at a local, regional and corporate level.
Assist the Operation team in the analysis of operational data (KPI’s).
Candidate must develop a central understanding of the profitability drivers of the Organization
Manages fixed assets, insurance costs, and parts/equipment inventories, all multi-million dollar commodities
Involved in providing new business and contract procurement support to operational and business development personnel.
Other duties as assigned.
Big 4 Accounting/Auditing Experience or Equivalent preferred.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent required.
5+ years experience in assessment of financial performance required.
Demonstrated construction/ project accounting experience
Proven experience leading month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
CPA and/or MBA preferred. IFRS Experience is a plus.
Ability to analyze financial results and assist on-site management with the development of action plans to maintain performance levels and profitability expectations.
Proficiency with standard computer programs. Knowledge JDE is highly preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills (both oral and written).
Ability to work efficiently and accurately with little direct supervision.
Detail-oriented and results-driven.
Ability to solve problems in a practical and pragmatic manner.
Travel requirement outside of the immediate area: 10-20%
