Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a Regional Compliance Specialist to support Low Income Housing Tax Credit, Project-Based Section 8, Project-Based Voucher, and Chicago Housing Authority properties across Chicago, IL. You will ensure policy implementation, deliver trainings, and monitor regulatory compliance across properties.

The role requires at least 5 years in affordable housing compliance, strong communication, and the ability to work onsite with flexible Fridays remote.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of direct affordable housing compliance experience.
• Experience with LIHTC, Project Based Rental Assistance, Project Based Voucher, and Chicago Housing Authority.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving-record standards.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular on-site and remote audits, schedule and respond to agency audit findings.
• Monitor lease-up or program conversion efforts to meet owner and investor expectations.
• Interpret regulatory documents for proper setup of property management software and troubleshoot accordingly.
• Collaborate with Corporate Compliance to design and deliver trainings.
• Update policies and procedures to reflect new agency requirements.
• Coordinate across departments to drive property performance metrics.
