Mission of the Position:
Reporting to the Regional Commodity Manager (“RCM”), the Regional Commodity Buyer role is to support the development and implementation of global commodity strategies that satisfy the needs of the business (landed cost, footprint, quality, technology, risk, sustainability, etc.).
Under direction of the RCM, responsibilities may include executing market tests, constructing supplier comparisons and business cases, and various other tasks to support the RCM’s management of assigned suppliers; including full responsibility for cost, contract performance, risk management and long‑term value creation across the end‑to‑end supplier lifecycle including service).
The ideal candidate will possess purchasing experience in the automotive industry, strong analytical skills and the ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
