Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Manager to lead all adult and pediatric decentralized and clinical pharmacy services. The role blends clinical expertise with people-focused leadership to build a strong team culture, drive collaboration, and enable regional growth and scalability.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Five plus years of experience preferred; knowledge of drugs and actions; regulatory familiarity.
• License must be in good standing by the State Board of Pharmacy and/or multi-state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all decentralized and clinical pharmacy services with high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Lead Clinical Service Line Leaders and workgroups to promote evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities:Clinical & Decentralized Services LeadershipOversee all decentralized and clinical pharmacy services, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to Clinical Service Line Leaders (SLL) and clinical workgroups, promoting standardized, evidence-based practice.
• Stay embedded in clinical practice by preserving strong relationships with teams and firsthand insight into operational realities.
• Staffing Strategy & SchedulingDevelop and manage the pharmacist schedule.
• Optimize staffing strategy and scheduling models to support sustainable service expansion.
• Create and chair a Schedule Committee, bringing frontline team members together to establish schedule and staffing strategies and norms.
• Anticipate staffing needs to support regional growth and scalability, building flexible models that adapt to expanding services.
• Recruitment, Development & OnboardingBuild and strengthen the recruitment pipeline, including residency programs and pharmacy interns, to cultivate a sustainable talent bench.
• Lead clinical competency assessment and onboarding, ensuring new pharmacists are set up for success from day one.
• Mentor and develop team members, creating clear pathways for professional growth and advancement.
• Quality, Governance & OptimizationDevelop and lead pharmacist quality assurance and peer review programs to uphold clinical standards and drive continuous improvement.
• Establish and maintain clinical governance structures that ensure accountability, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
• Champion workflow optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety, and scalability across pharmacy services.
• People-Focused Leadership: Lead with empathy and intentionality, prioritizing team engagement, retention, and professional fulfillment.
• Culture Building: Cultivate an inclusive, psychologically safe environment where all team members feel valued, heard, and supported.
• Collaboration: Partner across disciplines and across a Regional Pharmacy Management Team to deliver integrated, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.

Five plus years of experience preferred. Must have a thorough knowledge of drugs and their actions; knowledge of state and local regulations.

License must be in good standing by the State Board of Pharmacy in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position.
