Job summary

AOE International seeks a Director to lead the Clean Jobs Workforce Hub in the assigned region. The Director will manage the grant day to day, supervise a team of 14 to 21, and serve as primary contact for DCEO and Energy Transition Navigator.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in workforce development or career services, and a track record of managing budgets, reporting, and compliance with public grants. The position emphasizes equity and regional labor market expertise.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of management experience in workforce development or career services.
• Experience managing deliverables, budgets, compliance and reporting under a public grant.
• Ability to build partnerships with employers, unions and community organizations.
• Knowledge of the region's labor market; construction or clean energy industry knowledge preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for DCEO grant manager and regional administrator.
• Develop joint project work plan, training capacity plan, referral plan and participant handoffs.
• Manage delivery against Year 1 targets: enrollment, training, pathway completers and placements.
• Hire and supervise Hub staff and ensure staff hold required authorizations.
• Oversee barrier reduction and participant income support policies and approve exceptions.
• Review enrollment, attendance, completion and placement data monthly and adjust as needed.
• Lead preparation for DCEO monitoring visits.
• Keep equity at the center of delivery and adjust services based on data.
