Job summary

Clean Harbors in East Chicago, IN is seeking a Regional Class A Tanker Driver to join our safety‑m focused team. This route runs from East Chicago, IN to Ohio, Kansas and into Canada, averaging 65 hours per week.

Drivers earn around $120k–$130k per year with weekly home time and a $7,500 sign-on bonus. Compensation includes hourly wages for on‑duty non‑driving time, overtime, and per diem.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience.
• Minimum 3 months of tanker experience.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Ability to climb and work from heights.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs or more.
• Ability to use mobile apps and computer software.

Responsibilities

• Ensures health and safety is the priority by following safe work practices.
• Operates tractor-trailer tanker units.
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper unit utilization.
• Loads/unloads hazardous and non-hazardous waste and secures loads.
• Placards vehicle per DOT requirements.
• Maintains logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports.

Clean Harbors is looking for a Regional Class A Tanker Driver to join their safety conscious team in E. Chicago, IN. This route runs from E. Chicago, IN to OH, KS and into Canada and averages 65 hours per week.

About the role

• Drivers average $120-$130K per year
• Drivers Weekly Average $2400-2500
• $7,500 sign-on-bonus available
• Weekly home time
• Compensation includes hourly wages (all on-duty non-driving time) over time and per diem

Responsibilities

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer tanker units
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

Qualifications

• Class A CDL
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience
• Minimum 3 months of tanker experience
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• Ability to climb and work from heights
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs or more
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
