Job summary

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.

• Excellent time-management and customer service skills.
• Read and interpret safety rules and procedures; write routine reports; communicate with drivers/customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Class A vehicles in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking brakes, tires, lights, and safety features, and report issues.
• Safely load, unload, and secure cargo to prevent damage during transport.
• Plan efficient delivery routes, navigate traffic, and adhere to schedules using GPS or mapping tools.
• Maintain logs of mileage, delivery receipts, fuel and toll expenses, and adhere to hours-of-service rules.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle readiness.
• Communicate with dispatchers, management, and customers—report delays, incidents, or delivery issues.
• Provide professional assistance during deliveries and uphold a positive company image.
• Ensure correct paperwork including bills of lading and proof-of-delivery is submitted.
