Job summary

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer (typically automatic) and transport products to and from specified destinations in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
• Load and unload trailers; this may be manual, palletized, or require a two-wheeler; may involve lifting overhead.
• Transport products to large grocery stores, manufacturing facilities, rural storage units, and other traffic centers.
• Obtain signatures of receipt, pick up returns, complete logs and related paperwork, and review invoices/manifests.
• Use an electronic logging device (tablet or onboard computer).
• Maintain regular contact with customers, sales drivers, and dispatch.
• Perform pre- and post-trip truck inspections.
• Work hours may be up to FMCSA limits and require overnight trips, weekends, and holidays; routes run 24/7 with DOT hours varying by location.
