Burns & McDonnell in Akron, OH seeks a leader to direct civil and structural engineers in the Ohio region, while contributing to design and project management. You will recruit, train, and mentor staff, drive safety, and coordinate cross-team initiatives to optimize staffing and client delivery.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction, or related field with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Leadership and/or management experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for all levels of employees, management, and clients.
• Ability to influence, lead, and manage change effectively.
• Strong project management skills and strategic perspective.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsabilidades

• Provide managerial direction and leadership of civil and structural engineers in the Ohio region Civil Structural department.
• Coordinate team and mentor assignments with department managers, PMs, and engineers for efficient staffing.
• Review performance and conduct development meetings; identify training needs and support programs.
• Collaborate with other departments on training and client development; assist with proposals.
• Foster a healthy owner culture, conflict resolution, work-life balance, and community engagement.
• Help develop business initiatives to improve profitability and efficiency; support productivity goals.
• Approve timecards and monitor billable time to meet targets.
