Job summary

SPS Companies, Inc. in Texas seeks a CDL Driver to transport goods via flatbed truck or tractor-trailer. You will load, secure, and unload cargo, follow regulations, and deliver a range of loads, including oversized items.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain records, and communicate with supervisors, customers, and the transportation network while upholding safety, integrity, and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License with appropriate endorsements.
• Must maintain a valid Medical Card.
• Excellent driving record and familiarity with transportation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of tractor/trailer.
• Secure cargo using straps, chains and other securing devices.
• Complete shipping and delivery paperwork accurately and on time.
• Compliance with all regulations.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or safety violations promptly.
• Maintain communication with supervisor, sales and customers as required.
• Equipment maintenance, pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain all daily records, HOS, DVIR, proof of deliveries and fuel receipts.
