Job summary

Vitality Staffing is seeking a professional CDL-A truck driver to operate tractor-trailers regionally and interstate across New Jersey and beyond. You will complete pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections, loading and securing cargo, and maintaining logs. You will plan safe routes on major highways, comply with DOT regulations, and communicate with dispatchers daily.

Some interstate runs may be assigned. A high school diploma and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL Class A and a clean driving record.
• Must hold a current DOT medical certificate.
• Knowledge of DOT compliance is required.
• 2–3 years of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Ability to pass DOT drug/alcohol screenings and physicals.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Team player with good communication.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to bend, climb in/out, and inspect trailers.
• Own transportation for commuting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailers across regional, state and interstate highways.
• Complete pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Plan safe routes using major NJ highways and track hours of service.
• Some interstate runs may be assigned.
• Load, secure, and unload freight or verify with warehouse staff.
• Verify loads for accuracy and maintain logs and receipts.
• Communicate trip progress with dispatchers daily.
• Operate vehicles safely with DOT regulations.
• Report any mechanical issues immediately.
