Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Mount Airy, NC—offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. You’ll operate well-maintained trucks, with pay details including $1799+ per week and a $1500 sign-on at 30 days and at 90 days, plus per diem and mileage incentives.

Routes are East Coast to as far as TX, with regional deliveries, sleeper tractors and flatbed trailers.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Pass Ryder drug test.
• Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check (last 3 years).
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide CDL and endorsements for the position.
• 3 possible experience windows: 9 months/2 years/5 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.
• Detect and minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate logs.
• Assist in loading/unloading freight as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
