Job summary

Salt City Trucking in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a CDL-A dedicated driver for a dry van account. Routes run primarily between Chesapeake and Richmond with occasional overnight trips and live unloads.

You’ll average about $1,800 per week, with a $100 weekly performance bonus, $0.90 CPM, and additional pay such as $20 stop pay, $40 short-load pay, and $240 load pay. Weekly home time is offered with weekend resets.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 1 year CDL-A experience preferred
• Trainees may be considered
• Comfortable with floor-loaded freight and roller deliveries
• Able to safely secure freight
• Clean driving record
• DOT Medical Card
• No SAP drivers

Responsibilities

• Dedicated dry van freight with floor-loaded deliveries
• Deliveries between Chesapeake and Richmond, VA
• Live unloads and occasional Saturday work
• Approximately 1,000 miles per week with home time
• Use rollers, racks, and load bars during handling
