Position Summary

This regional opportunity will be based in Central Florida. In this role, you will haul Andersen freight, consisting of windows, doors and other accessories. You will be responsible for safe unloading to dealers, Home Depot stores and construction job sites, requiring safe driving and material handling to deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist in loading and unloading our product at customer locations.
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of windows and doors, using material moving equipment for items over 100 lbs.
• Maintain compliance with Federal DOT regulations while driving company vehicles.
• Maintain safe and defensive driving, especially in tight or inclement conditions.
• Maintain proper record‑keeping for driver logs, fuel purchases, mileage and other required logs.
• Familiarize with and adhere to all company policies related to DOT and non‑DOT.
• Represent Andersen with professional attitude, appearance and product knowledge.
• Answer customer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging and material content; if unable to answer, direct to appropriate contact.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with doubles endorsement if twin trailers are pulled.

• 2 years of tractor‑trailer driving experience, including winter driving.
• Ability to read, write and perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and use onboard computer technology for messaging.
• Works independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of tractor safety and control systems.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, vehicle inspection and maintenance.
• Meets or exceeds U.S. DOT medical standards.
• Passes DOT pre‑employment screening inclusive of a drug test.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and remain alert while driving for extended periods.
• Ability to operate tractor safely.
• Ability to perform frequent squatting or crouching to handle positions and secure windows and doors.
• Packaging windows and doors weighing up to 100 lbs on a dolly or cart.
• Frequent carrying of windows and doors up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to reach cargo at various levels.
• Ability to hook/unhook vehicle combinations, lower/raise gear, operate fifth wheel lever, lock and release pintle‑hooks, attach and release safety chains, open and close cargo doors, climb into and off vehicles, fuel vehicles and check engine oil and coolant levels.

Compensation

Pay range: $31.50 per hour. Additional incentives include hourly pay, overtime eligibility, quarterly profit sharing, safety incentive, paid uniform, safety shoe allowance, cell phone reimbursement and training. Shift can be Monday‑Friday workdays with occasional weekend or overnight work.
