McCormick & Company, Incorporated, a global leader in flavor, seeks a full-time Regional Buyer II at Global HQ in Hunt Valley, MD. You will develop category strategies to optimize cost, rationalize the supplier base, and mitigate risk while supporting regional and global procurement initiatives.

The role reports to a Senior Director, America's Procurement, and requires strong sourcing, project management, and supplier relationship skills within a multinational organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or Accounting).
• 5+ years in Purchasing/Supply Chain with relevant experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and regional spend initiatives.
• Experience building and leading diverse teams and collaborating across functions.
• Strong communication and diplomacy skills.

Responsabilités

• Execute and establish sourcing strategies for assigned regionally managed categories in Direct and Indirect procurement.
• Align regional sourcing strategies with global category strategies and communicate globally where applicable.
• Resolve Level 1 & 2 quality and supply issues; support global category managers in higher-level issues.
• Support global category managers for regional commercialization, projects, and supplier reviews.
• Develops in-depth knowledge of markets, supply chain, and suppliers; conducts make-buy analyses and presentations.

This new hire will work in Global HQ, located at 24 Schilling Road, Suite 1 in Hunt Valley, MD. The Regional Buyer II will report to a Senior Director, America's Procurement.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for assigned categories and the development of category strategies and programs to optimize cost, rationalize the supply base and bring value to the Corporation while mitigating risk. Includes coordinating and leading strategy execution activity supporting Direct and/or In direct spend. Provides regional support for globally managed categories.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execution of and establishment of sourcing strategies for assigned regionally managed categories in the Direct and Indirect areas of procurement. Aligning those regional sourcing strategies with business unit strategies and communicating it globally where applicable
• Participates on regional business teams; supports the alignment of regional initiatives and strategies to ensure they align with global category strategies
• Resolve Level 1 & 2 quality and supply issues; provide support for global category managers in resolving Level 3 issues
• Supports global category managers for regional commercialization, Project and CCI activities
• Develops and documents in-depth knowledge of markets, supply chain, and suppliers. Assists with make-buy decisions; conducts formal presentations as well as coordinates and conducts supplier reviews

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or applicable field of study
• 5+ years in Purchasing/Supply Chain environment with appropriate business experience
• 4+ yrs project management, execution of or participation in large, multiple or cross-functional projects., Project management/process improvement
• 2+ yrs managing, leading developing dynamic work teams No supervisory responsibility.
• Thorough knowledge of industries for assigned categories. Technical awareness in assigned categories.
• Sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• CPM or APICS certification
