The Regional Business Specialist – Medium Voltage Switchgear, Americas supports the commercial execution, growth, and profitability of the Medium Voltage (MV) Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and Metal-Clad Switchgear product lines across the Americas. Reporting to the Director, Power Distribution – Americas, this role works closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, Demand Planning, Application Engineering, and the Global Business Unit to support regional business priorities and customer opportunities.

The Regional Business Specialist – Medium Voltage Switchgear, Americas supports the commercial execution, growth, and profitability of the Medium Voltage (MV) Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and Metal-Clad Switchgear product lines across the Americas. Reporting to the Director, Power Distribution – Americas, this role works closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, Demand Planning, Application Engineering, and the Global Business Unit to support regional business priorities and customer opportunities.

The role provides visibility and analysis of pipeline, orders, sales, forecast, pricing, margins, and demand, while supporting strategic opportunities, capacity alignment, new product commercialization, and regional market intelligence.

Responsibilities
  • Support business performance for MV GIS and Metal-Clad Switchgear, tracking pipeline, orders, sales, forecast, margins, and demand.
  • Support Sales with customer opportunities, quotations, pricing, competitive positioning, and business cases.
  • Monitor pricing and profitability, including VCM, product costs, VAVE, and cost-out initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Demand Planning to align customer demand, manufacturing capacity, and delivery requirements.
  • Support major opportunity reviews, including pricing approvals, capacity validation, business cases, and commercial follow-up.
  • Partner with Application Engineering and Technical Proposal Engineering to support technically compliant, competitive, and executable MV solutions.
  • Analyze MV market trends, customer requirements, competitive activity, and emerging technologies.
  • Collect and communicate Voice of Customer and regional requirements to support Global Business Unit product priorities and roadmap decisions.
  • Support new MV product launches and commercialization, including pricing, sales enablement, documentation, and quoting readiness.
  • Prepare product-line business reviews and coordinate actions addressing commercial, profitability, and execution risks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in product management, business operations, sales, application engineering, or a related technical/commercial role.
  • Experience with Medium Voltage power distribution equipment, particularly GIS and Metal-Clad Switchgear, preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable IEEE, ANSI, NEC, UL, and other relevant MV electrical standards preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of pricing, margins, forecasting, pipeline, and commercial execution.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across Sales, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, and Product Management.
  • Technical aptitude to understand customer applications and translate requirements into actionable technical and commercial solutions.
  • Demonstrated initiative, accountability, collaboration, and ability to drive actions to completion.
  • Fluent written and verbal English required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, CRM/CPQ tools, and related business applications.
