Job summary

Audacy is seeking a Regional Staff Engineer to join our Houston-based engineering team. This hands-on role supports multiple markets, maintaining broadcast radio equipment, IT networks, and regulatory compliance.

You will troubleshoot WideOrbit/Axia systems, manage AOIP networks, and provide on-call emergency support, including weekends and holidays. A strong electronics background and FCC familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years broadcast engineering experience.
• Associate’s degree in electronics preferred.
• IT networking skills preferred.
• Ability to provide 24/7 on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, and repair all broadcast radio station equipment across multiple markets.
• Manage AOIP networks, studio hardware, and VOIP/telephone systems.
• Ensure FCC compliance via logs, EAS tests, and tower lighting requirements.
• Install and troubleshoot WideOrbit and Axia at studio and transmitter sites.
• Provide 24/7 emergency support for equipment failures.
