Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a first-line customer service specialist for Business Banking customers. You will support Relationship Managers, open and maintain business depository accounts, and handle overdrafts and post-loan activities.

You will research and resolve service issues, initiate fraud processes, act as a product liaison, and stay current with policies and procedures while building internal and external relationships.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a high-volume banking or clerical role.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• No sponsorship for immigration benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line customer service support for Business Banking customers for Relationship Managers.
• Open and maintain business depository accounts, including documenting with customers.
• Handle Business Banking overdrafts and non-sufficient funds for customers owned by Relationship Managers.
• Process loan advances, payments, and payoffs post-loan closing in line with Huntington policy.
• Research and resolve service and operational issues involving deposit accounts and credit relationships.
• Initiate and follow up on fraud processes per Huntington standards.
• Serve as a product liaison for products used by Business customers.
• Suggest bank products and connect customers with appropriate colleagues.
• Maintain knowledge of products, services, systems, policies, and procedures.
• Identify, assess, and manage risk while adhering to policies.

Job description

• Provide first-line customer service support for Business Banking customers for several Relationship Managers
• Open and maintain business depository accounts, including executing documentation with customers
• Handle Business Banking overdrafts and non-sufficient funds for customers owned by Relationship Managers
• Service post-loan-closing needs, including processing loan advances, loan payments, and payoffs in accordance with Huntington policy
• Research and resolve service and operational issues involving deposit accounts and credit relationships
• Ensure fraud processes are initiated and followed up according to Huntington standards
• Serve as a product liaison for products used by Business customers
• Suggest bank products and services and connect customers with appropriate colleagues
• Maintain current knowledge of products, services, departmental systems, technology, policies, and procedures
• Identify, assess, and manage risk while adhering to policies and procedures
• Identify issues of concern and keep department management informed as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume clerical support or banking role
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional grammar and demeanor
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning, and follow-up
• Ability to build and expand quality internal and external customer relationships
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure with minimal supervision
• PC and internet proficiency
