Job summary

Community Coffee Company in Memphis, TN seeks a Region Route Relief Representative to provide reliable relief coverage for delivery and sales routes across multiple locations. You will deliver products, support merchandising, service brewing equipment, and build strong customer relationships while upholding company standards.

This on-site role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of customer service or sales experience, and a valid driver's license with DOT certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of relevant customer service and/or sales experience.
• Route sales and cold calling experience in a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) environment preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license; a CDL may be required for some work locations.
• DOT medical certification required.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical.
• Internal Only: Experience with Community Coffee may fulfill this requirement with approval.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Sales Managers to proactively plan route relief schedules.
• Provides route coverage by delivering products, equipment, and supplies to existing customers.
• Trains new team members in the Grocery and Coffee Service Divisions, including merchandisers, delivery drivers, and route sales representatives.
• Promotes product growth by soliciting additional purchases from current customers.
• Collects payments from customers and ensures proper documentation.
• Maintains appropriate product selection and inventory levels for each account.
• Records and updates all sales, inventory, and delivery data accurately.
• Loads and manages inventory on company delivery vehicle.
• Monitors product freshness and rotation on customer shelves.
• Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction through service excellence.
• Maintains and services coffee brewing equipment during route stops.
• Participates in tradeshows and special events to promote products and services.
• Manages daily bank deposits for assigned routes.
• Cleans delivery vehicle and conducts routine maintenance checks.
• May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary.

Position Overview

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will service/sell to approximately 20-30 customers per day and is required to do the following:

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms;
• Frequently required to stand, walk; climb or balance; regularly has to stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl;
• Regularly required to get in and out of a vehicle.
• Must be able to frequently lift 40 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
• Occasionally push or pull up to 100 pounds using a rolling pallet or similar equipment, often up or down a slight incline or ramp.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Field Sales Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be moderately loud in warehouse areas.
