Circle K Stores Inc. is seeking a Region Operations Director who will reside within the Jacksonville region and oversee operations from Tallahassee through Valdosta and into southern Georgia.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on management of store performance and safety. You will analyze pricing, forecast financials, plan budgets, and collaborate with marketing and real estate to optimize promotions and expansion opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• 10+ years in convenience store/gasoline industry; 5+ years in management.
• Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor competitor pricing, market surveys, and forecasts to guide strategy.
• Review cash/over reports, inventory, expenses, and profit margins to evaluate financial status.
• Collaborate with gasoline and marketing teams to optimize promotions and budgets.
• Recruit, train, and develop regional staff; uphold safety and policy standards.
• Travel up to 50% annually and serve as a public speaker/presenter when needed.

This Region encompasses Tallahassee, FL through Valdosta, GA then across southern Georgia to the coast.********ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:****Ensures market competitiveness by monitoring and evaluating competitor pricing activities; analyzing market surveys, preparing forecasts; making adjustments. Evaluates financial status by reviewing cash/over reports, inventory shortages, repair and maintenance expenses, supply expenses, gasoline and grocery sales, profit margins. Determine marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements; sales activity. Improves sales and profits by consulting with gasoline and marketing departments to develop strategies to optimize implementation of promotional programs. Maintains stores by conducting inspections to ensure the facility is clean and in good repair; evaluate inventory levels, merchandising; audits paperwork and reports. Protects employees, customers and company assets by maintaining a safe and secure work environment; enforcing safety practices; providing safety communications and training. Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Allocates program costs by preparing operational and risk reports for analyses. Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees. Increases employee’s effectiveness by communicating job expectations; coaching, counseling and disciplining; communicating values, strategies and objectives; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; fostering a climate conducive for offering information and opinions; developing personal growth opportunities. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; or participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Plans sustaining and investment capital spending by working with Real Estate to evaluate future store acquisition opportunities. Occasionally engages Governmental agencies on various matters**REQUIREMENTS:*** Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.* Ten years of experience working in the convenience store/gasoline industry or more preferred; including minimum of 5 years of management responsibility.* Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred.* May require up to 50% travel annually.* Comfortable public speaker and presenter* Valid driver’s license required. ****PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**** The physical requirements described here are examples of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
