Job summary

Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Ohio seeks a Respiratory Care professional to evaluate and treat patients with acute or chronic respiratory issues, delivering high-quality care. The role requires graduation from an approved respiratory care program, NBRC registration, and current state licensure, with CPR mandatory and ACLS/NRP required; PALS preferred.

Expected duties include ventilator management, arterial blood sampling, and emergency care support.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school of respiratory care.
• Must be registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Must possess current state license as a Respiratory Care professional.
• CPR certification required.
• ACLS, NRP required.
• PALS preferred.
• CPR certification required. BLS is expected at renewal.
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic respiratory care including assessment, O2 administration and related tasks.
• Perform arterial puncture, interpretation and analysis.
• Set up, safety check, monitoring and troubleshooting of mechanical ventilators.
• Set up, safety check, monitoring and troubleshooting of noninvasive ventilation.
• Attend required safety trainings and mandatory organizational lectures.
• Perform other hospital-related duties as required.
• Perform all respiratory duties in emergency settings, including neonatal and pediatric contexts.

Essential Functions:

Can perform arterial puncture, interpretation and analysis.

Attends required safety trainings and mandatory organizational lectures.

Can perform other hospital related duties as required.

Can perform all respiratory related duties and function in emergency setting with pediatrics.

Standards of Employment:

Attends all mandatory education programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety and regulatory compliance.

Appearance is professional, neat, clean, and appropriate for the work environment. Wears proper photoidentification badge while on duty.

Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times, as observed by peers and management.

Attends monthly staff meetings and participates in monthly rounding process with manager to assure effective and timely two-way communications.

Participates in and completes required department specific education and training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to department safety and specific job-related hazards.

Follows safety and security policies including exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.
