St.-Bernards-Healthcare in a hospital environment seeks an ultrasound technologist who operates ultrasound equipment and supports diagnostic imaging under radiologist supervision. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Minimum of an Associate degree in an allied health field required. Candidate must meet requirements for registry by the Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
Experience
Two years experience preferred. Sufficient working knowledge of the different phases of ultrasound including the operation of assigned equipment. Associates degree in an Allied Health field or certificate of completion of coursework and graduate within six months with degree plan. Candidates must meet requirement for registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonongraphers.
Physical
Normal hospital environment. Close eye work. Hearing within normal range. Occasional exposure to chemical hazards. Operates ultrasound machine, computer, patient monitoring, PACS, and CR’s when applicable. Continuous standing and walking, frequent bending and stooping, Lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 300lbs.

JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of a radiologist and the supervision of the department manager/PSM, performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
