White Trash Services is seeking a Refuse Collector to accompany the Refuse Truck Operator on a fixed route, ensuring timely removal of trash and waste from communities.

The role involves collecting refuse via manual or automated methods, dismounting and remounting trucks, and communicating delays or issues to the driver or dispatcher. Requires outdoor work in all conditions and a valid Texas driver’s license.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and throwing are required.
• Must lift and carry at least 60 pounds occasionally.
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions and loud environment.

REFUSE COLLECTOR

Job Summary:

The Refuse Collector accompanies the Refuse Truck Operator on a pre-determined route, ensuring that trash and materials are cleared from the community in a timely and orderly fashion.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Accompanies Refuse Truck Operator along pre-determined route and schedule, collecting solid trash and waste materials.
• Collects refuse materials using manual or automated methods, dismounting and remounting trucks as needed.
• Notifies driver, dispatcher, or manager of delays, unsafe sites, accidents, breakdowns, extra trash, or other issues.
• Operates machinery to hoist or compress refuse.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to adhere to safety standards and guidelines.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience preferred.

Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing, walking, lifting, and throwing.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 60 pounds at times.
• Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete the work.
• Ability to work outdoors in all-weather conditions.
• Must be able to work safely in a noisy environment with odors present.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.
