Job summary

Qualifications

• Performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.


• Completes required reports and logs.


• Drives a refuse collection truck along an assigned route to collect solid waste, commercial waste, or yard waste.


• Transports refuse to landfill.


• Washes exterior or vehicle; keeps interior free of trash.


• Performs routine maintenance on truck; checks fuel, oil and other fluids.


• Oversees the work of personnel assigned to the truck.


• Follows all traffic laws and regulations.


• Maintains radio contact with dispatcher.


• Performs related duties.

• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Valid Georgia CDL Class “B” Required.
