Qualifications

• 5 years experience in accounting or business office environment.
• 4 years experience with payment posting, billing, and/or collections.
• Experience resolving complex issues with multiple groups.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex issues and post entries in accounting systems.
• Review and process refund requests from patients and payors.
• Audit patient accounts to correct refund issues.
• Alert the Refund Supervisor of trends in credit balances.
• Document all account actions in system notes.

Skills

Effective communication with insurance companies

Resolving complex accounting issues

Working knowledge of medical software

Basic medical terminology knowledge

Education

Completion of sixty hours of college with emphasis on Accounting
