Job summary
Perdue Farms is seeking a Refrigeration and Utilities Technician for the 2nd shift to operate and maintain industrial ammonia refrigeration and utilities systems. You will troubleshoot, optimize performance, and drive continuous improvement in utilities processes, with opportunities for advanced maintenance certifications and specialized training.
This role offers a $7,000 hiring bonus payable in installments over the first year, and requires extensive experience in industrial maintenance,
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 5–8 years in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Expert proficiency in hydraulics, mechanics, electrical concepts and refrigeration/utilities systems.
- Intermediate PLC proficiency.
- OSHA Hazardous Materials Technician certification or training.
- RETA Operator Lvl I/CARO and Lvl II/CIRO certifications and ongoing education.
- Perdue Farms QEW certification.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex machinery and systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and improve reliability of refrigeration/utilities.
- Support production with efficient utilities operation and troubleshooting.
- Document work and communicate findings clearly.
- Maintain safety standards and follow quality protocols.
- Work with teams to resolve issues with urgency.
