Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions is hiring a Refrigeration Technician in Buffalo, NY. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Thermo King and Carrier reefer units with strong pay and full benefits within 30 days.

The technician will perform PMs, A/C service, and DOT inspections, while documenting work and communicating with clients. EPA 608 certification and a valid Class C license are required, along with own hand tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with reefer units (Thermo King and/or Carrier).
• EPA 608 Certification required.
• PMs and A/C systems experience.
• Valid Driver’s License (Class C).
• Own hand tools and toolbox.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, fleet systems).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration units.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and A/C service.
• Repair refrigeration diesel engines on trailer units.
• Conduct safety inspections and complete documentation.
• Perform DOT inspections and trailer repairs when reefer units are operational.
• Inspect undercarriages and mechanical components.
• Remove and install parts as needed.
• Maintain accurate service records (computer & written).
• Communicate with clients via phone and email.
• Follow safety regulations and company procedures.

Day Shift | $40.00 - $50.00 hr | Weekly Pay | Full Benefits within 30 Days |Potential $500 Sign-On Bonus + $5k Retention Bonus

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the nation’s premier fleet maintenance providers, is hiring an experienced Refrigeration Technician in Buffalo, NY.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour (based on experience)Pay Frequency: Weekly pay – every FridaySchedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm

Potential Sign-On & Retention Bonus – Up to $5,500

• $500 Sign on Bonus paid on the regular schedule on the 4th and 8th check
• $2500 Retention Bonus at 6 months
• $2500 Retention Bonus at 1 year

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration units

What You Must Have

• Proven experience with Reefer units (Thermo King and/or Carrier)
• EPA 608 Certification (Required)
• Experience with PMs and A/C systems
• Valid Driver’s License (Class C)
• Own hand tools and toolbox
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, fleet systems, email)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
