Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced refrigeration service technician to support industrial accounts across food and beverage and cold storage sectors.

You will perform routine and emergency service on ammonia and Freon systems, from 100 HP to 5,000 HP, and work on screw and reciprocating compressors, control and alarm systems. This role requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience, knowledge of controls and electrical systems, and EPA certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supermarket/rack/industrial refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of controls and electric (high and low voltage).
• Universal EPA certification.
• Motor alignment experience.
• RETA 1/2 certification preferred.
• Position is safety sensitive with pre-employment drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide refrigeration repair and maintenance support to industrial accounts (food & beverage and refrigerated storage equipment 100 HP–5,000 HP).
• Perform routine and emergency service on ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment.
• Utilize knowledge of screw and reciprocating compressors, electrical troubleshooting, and control/alarm systems to inspect and maintain systems.
• Adhere to all safety policies and regulatory requirements.

Pay

• $30-$60/hour, dependent on experience

Schedule

• Monday - Friday (45-55 hours per week)

Key Duties

• Responsible for refrigeration repair and maintenance support to industrial accounts in food and beverage and refrigerated storage equipment ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP
• Perform routine and emergency service on ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment commonly found in industrial applications
• Use working knowledge of screw and reciprocal compressors, electrical troubleshooting all common types of ammonia central systems, & control/alarm systems to perform inspections and preventative maintenance as required
• Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures and governing requirements
