Job summary

ACME Markets seeks a Refrigeration Technician to keep our stores running safely and efficiently. In this hands-on role, you’ll install new equipment, troubleshoot and repair refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems, and perform preventive maintenance with proper documentation.

You’ll operate EMS/BMS controls, document findings, and support energy optimization. This entry-level, full-time position offers competitive wages and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Make daily checks on equipment in the Mechanical Room, Roof, HVAC, EMS systems, refrigerated cases, and walk-ins.
• Maintain refrigeration, HVAC, EMS, electrical, and mechanical systems and perform repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance, leak checks, inspections, and install new equipment.
• Monitor work by outside contractors and notify the Area Refrigeration Manager of issues.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical, and electrical problems and document solutions.
• Operate EMS building controls and automation systems; adjust set points and schedules.
• Handle purchasing duties, data entry for work reports, and refrigerant leak reports.
• Maintain a neat, safe work area and ensure compliance with state/local codes.
