Job summary

Thermo King Northeast is seeking a full-time Refrigeration Technician at our Seekonk, MA location. The technician will perform maintenance and repairs on transport refrigeration units and auxiliary power units. Ideal candidates should have experience in refrigeration and possess the necessary skills to diagnose and repair equipment efficiently.

We offer top compensation starting at $20.00 up to $54.00 per hour, alongside benefits such as medical insurance, flexible spending accounts, and a 401(k) plan with company match. Training and growth opportunities are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in the field of transport refrigeration equipment, installation and/or repair.
• Skills to install, diagnose, and repair refrigeration equipment.
• Own and maintain proper hand tools to perform job functions.
• Willingness to earn EPA 608/609 refrigeration certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and service inspections on transport refrigeration units.
• Conduct diagnostic and repair work on mobile refrigeration equipment.
• Complete repair orders and parts usage forms.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor and team members.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance & service inspections on a variety of transport refrigeration units (TRU) & auxiliary power units (APU)
• Perform diagnostic, repair work on mobile refrigeration equipment, auxiliary power units & heater equipment
• Follow established technical & administrative processes
• Complete repair orders & parts usage forms
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members & customers
• Remain current on technical & regulation requirements
• Perform road service calls as required

Position Requirements:

• Experience in the field of transport refrigeration equipment (Thermo King or Carrier Transicold preferred) installation and/or repair
• Skills to sufficiently install, diagnose and repair refrigeration equipment
• Demonstrate technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, materials, methods & equipment to perform, prioritize and complete job assignments
• Own & maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions
• High school diploma or equivalent, technical trade school a plus
• Proficient with computer operation/usage
• Valid driver’s license

To have or be willing to earn EPA 608/609 refrigeration certifications is a big plus!
