Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a starter Refrigeration Department technician to clean and wash ammonia refrigeration air units and HVAC/MAUs on the roof, change filters, and shadow Refrigeration Techs for future opportunities.

The role requires working in hot/cold/wet environments, lifting over 40 lbs, climbing ladders, and standing for long periods. It is a 3rd shift position with possible overtime, background checks, and annual certifications including Level 4 pulmonary tests.

Requirements

Applicant must be able to work in are hot/cold/wet environments.

Position requires pushing, pulling, or lifting over 40 lbs. and climbing ladders above 10 feet.

Position requires walking and standing approximately 8.5 hours/day on concrete floor.

The work schedule is 6 days a week, be off during the week, and must be able to work on weekends and holidays as scheduled. This position may require you to rotate shifts as needed and must be willing to work overtime as needed.

Position requires passing a Level 4 pulmonary function test and physical and be recertified each year to maintain position. This job requires being clean shaven to get a proper fit while using APR/SCBA equipment. Requires being a member of the Plant Hazmat Team.

Must be able to complete Refrigeration and General Maintenance computer-based training.

• Must have 1 year maintenance experience within the immediate past 2 years.

Rehiring Criteria

Applicant must not have worked for Tyson more than a total of 3 times prior. Applicants must also have completed at least 180 days since their last employment with Tyson.
