Job summary

Henderson Engineers, Inc. is seeking a mid-level refrigeration design engineer to contribute expertise across our market sectors, including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams and partner with Henderson Building Solutions to deliver a superior client experience. The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical or architectural engineering with 3–5 years of relevant experience (PE preferred); strong Revit and Bluebeam Revu

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or architectural engineering is required.
• PE license may count toward experience.
• Experience with Revit and Bluebeam Revu is essential.

Responsibilities

• Performs calculations and designs basic to advanced engineering systems.
• Prepares electrical system layouts, drawings, and schematics.
• Reviews shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
• Supports business development and client relationships in support of pursuits.
• Keeps up with industry software including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office.
• May coordinate project activities and ensure project quality.
• Acts as a trainer or mentor as needed.

Position Summary

As a mid-level refrigeration design engineer at Henderson Engineers, you will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to our six market various sectors, including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. Within each sector, we seamlessly integrate our engineering knowledge with the in-the-field experience of our sister company,Henderson Building Solutions to deliver a client experience unlike any other in the industry. Key Responsibilities

• Performs calculations and designs basic to advanced engineering systems with a high degree of independence.
• Prepares basic to advanced electrical system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
• Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
• Performs research and makes recommendations as to the feasibility of systems or equipment. Evaluates products for their application.
• Assists with developing, establishing, and maintaining relationships with strategic partners and customers in support of business development and/or pursuit activities.
• Proactively seeks opportunities for continuous learning and understanding of industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office Products.
• May support or be responsible for project coordination activities such as managing emails, coordinating scope and schedule, attending client meetings, ensuring project quality, responding to client questions, and coordinating project delivery.
• Acts as a resource for training or assisting others as needed.

Required Qualifications

Mid-Level - II

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or architectural engineering preferred and 3 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of experience without degree required. Professional Engineering (PE) license may be counted toward 1 year of direct experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.

Experienced Level - III

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or architectural engineering preferred and 7 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of experience without degree required. Professional Engineering (PE) license may be counted toward 1 year of direct experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.

Preferred Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of previous exposure to mechanical/HVAC and refrigeration design capability in commercial project design, retail, or related markets.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Completion of FE exam, LEED and/or WELL accreditation.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, A&E industry, codes, design guides, and standards required.

Pay Transparency

Individual salaries may be higher or lower than the stated range depending on factors unrelated to the applicant’s race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, ethnicity, age, or disability. Salary can vary from this range based on geographic cost of labor statistical differentials.

Denver - $83,600 to $145,200

Las Vegas - $92,400 to$119,700

Los Angeles - $88,160 to $153,120

New York - $92,720 to $161,040

Washington DC - $88,160 to $153,120
