Job summary

La Lorraine Bakery Group (LLBG) is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to manage and optimize our ammonia and CO2 based cooling systems at the Campia Turzii facility. You will ensure reliability, safety, and energy efficiency across production lines, freezing tunnels, and the new High Bay Freezer Warehouse.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree in refrigeration or a related field and at least three years of experience with industrial refrigeration.

Qualifications

  • Technical degree in Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanics, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with industrial refrigeration or cooling systems.
  • Hands-on experience with NH3 and/or CO2 refrigeration technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and maintenance capabilities.
  • Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, refrigeration schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Knowledge of industrial refrigeration safety standards and regulations.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, cold storage, frozen food production, or utilities is considered a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and optimize industrial refrigeration systems based on NH3 and CO2 transcritical technology.
  • Ensure the reliable operation of cooling installations supporting production lines, freezing tunnels, low-bay warehouses, and the new High Bay Freezer Warehouse.
  • Execute and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Analyze equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and energy consumption.
  • Troubleshoot refrigeration and cooling equipment and support root cause analysis of technical failures.
  • Participate in commissioning, start-up, and acceptance activities for new refrigeration systems and expansion projects.
  • Collaborate with external service providers and specialized contractors.
  • Maintain maintenance documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and food industry standards.

Job description

Our site in Câmpia Turzii is undergoing a major expansion, including the development of a fully automated High Bay Freezer Warehouse, the extension of our CO₂ transcritical refrigeration network, and additional cooling capacity to support new production lines and future growth.

Reporting to the High Bay & Utilities Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our refrigeration and cooling systems that are critical to both production and frozen storage operations.

The function

Your profile
