Job summary

Dallas Trailer Repair Co. in Irving, TX is seeking a Refrigerated Semi Trailer Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain transport refrigeration units on trucks and trailers.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical, cooling and refrigeration systems, and complete repairs such as leak detection and compressor replacement. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential; on-site teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of transport refrigeration, diesel, or related mechanical experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; vocational or trade school training preferred.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail.
• Must pass pre-employment testing, background check, and drug screening.
• Must own required tools and steel-toed work boots.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair transport refrigeration units, trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

• Repair electrical, starting, charging, cooling, and refrigeration systems.

• Inspect equipment, identify faulty parts, and use diagnostic tools as needed.
• Keep tools, vehicles, and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Work effectively with team members and perform other assigned duties.
