Job summary

American Food & Vending seeks a Refreshment Mechanic to ensure vending machines and beverage dispensers operate at peak quality. You will repair, install, and maintain equipment, perform routine checks, and keep detailed service records.

Responsibilities include inventory management, wiring and plumbing-compliant installations, and diagnostic work on complex systems. The role may involve transporting machines and taking on additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical school, Certification, or an associate degree in related field preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience with POS or Kiosk preferred.
• Basic knowledge of microprocessors, integrated circuits, robotics, and automated functions.
• Lifting, bending, walking, driving, climbing stairs; able to lift 40+ lbs. as needed.
• Possess a valid state driver's license that is in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and install vending machines and beverage dispensers for water and coffee.
• Perform routine checks on motors, keypads, and other equipment to ensure optimal function.
• Maintain vending inventories, order repair parts and keep service records.
• Connect water pipes and electrical wires; ensure installations meet codes and standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance; clean and oil parts; adjust pressure gauges and thermostats.
• Respond to service calls with visual survey; use diagnostic tools to locate issues.
• Transport machines to the repair shop for maintenance and inspection when needed.
• May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed.
