Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Refinish Technician to deliver exceptional refinishing quality and a superior customer experience. You will mix, color match, and refinish vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition, while aligning with team KPIs and maintaining safety standards.

The role emphasizes speed, accuracy, and brand representation within a dynamic shop environment. The position supports a safety-focused work environment, with opportunities to grow through team collaboration

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of collision repair experience.
• Ability to properly complete all refinishing steps.
• Above average quality focus and attention to detail.
• High production capabilities are required.
• I-CAR or ASE certifications are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Review body work for quality in the paint department.
• Mix, color match, and refinish vehicles to return to pre-accident condition.
• Complete all refinish operations per the work order.
• Maintain paint material inventory.
• Follow safety procedures and dispose of waste properly.
• Collaborate in daily production meetings.
• Coordinate with team to meet deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Position Overview

The Refinish Technician’s primary responsibility includes providing an exceptional and successful customer experience through meticulous refinishing to ensure a quality refinished repair of each customer’s vehicle to restore it back to pre-accident condition. The Refinish Technician thoroughly mixes, color matches and refinishes each vehicle while playing a pivotal role toward Gerber’s promise of speed, quality and customer excellence. The Refinish Technician works in alignment with all team members in achieving the repair facility’s KPIs and is committed to being a dedicated Brand Ambassador of Gerber Collision & Glass at all times. Gerber Collision is dedicated to providing a safe work environment for all of our employees and our Refinish Technicians are provided with PAPR Systems to keep them safe and comfortable.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review body work for quality and completeness as it arrives in the paint department

• Thoroughly mix, color match, and refinish each vehicle to restore it to pre-accident condition

• Complete all refinish operations as described in the work order

• Efficiently use and maintain paint material inventory

• Consistently utilize all required safety equipment, properly dispose of hazardous waste

• Attend/collaborate with team during daily production meetings

• Work in harmony with the production schedule and coworkers to meet deadlines

• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-5+ years of collision repair experience

• Ability to properly complete all steps in the refinishing process

• Above average quality focus

• High production capabilities

• I-CAR or ASE Certifications are a bonus

Compensation Details:

Pay: $60,000 - $180,000 a year.

Flat Rate Compensation is a performance-based structure directly tied to turned hours, also referred to as booked hours. In the event that total compensation in a pay period is less than minimum wage, clocked hours will be calculated with a guarantee of applicable local or state minimum wage, whichever is greater.
