Job summary

The Boyd Group in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Refinish Technician to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition through meticulous refinishing, color matching, and painting. You will contribute to speed, quality and customer excellence as part of a collaborative shop team.

Responsibilities include reviewing body work for quality, mixing and refinishing each vehicle, maintaining paint inventory, and following safety protocols. Compensation is $20-$30 per hour with potential bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in refinishing and color matching for automotive repairs
• Strong focus on quality and safety in a high-production environment
• I-CAR or ASE certifications are a bonus

• Attend/collaborate with team during daily production meetings
• Work in harmony with the production schedule and coworkers to meet deadlines
• Other duties as assigned

Job Description: Position Overview

The Refinish Technician's primary responsibility includes providing an exceptional and successful customer experience through meticulous refinishing to ensure a quality refinished repair of each customer's vehicle to restore it back to pre-accident condition. The Refinish Technician thoroughly mixes, color matches and refinishes each vehicle while playing a pivotal role toward Gerber's promise of speed, quality and customer excellence. The Refinish Technician works in alignment with all team members in achieving the repair facility's KPIs and is committed to being a dedicated Brand Ambassador of Gerber Collision & Glass at all times. Gerber Collision is dedicated to providing a safe work environment for all of our employees and our Refinish Technicians are provided with PAPR Systems to keep them safe and comfortable.

Job Responsibilities:

Compensation Details:

$20 - $30 / Hour Flat Rate

Flat Rate Compensation is a performance-based structure directly tied to turned hours, also referred to as booked hours. In the event that total compensation in a pay period is less than minimum wage, clocked hours will be calculated with a guarantee of applicable local or state minimum wage, whichever is greater. Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.

Supplemental Pay: This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
