Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Refinery in Baytown, TX to protect facilities and people at a chemical/petrochemical site. You will patrol, monitor access, and report incidents while delivering professional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma, with driving responsibilities at the core of the position. We offer full-time hours and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter security-related incidents.
• Monitor access and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, documenting entries, observations, and incidents as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
