Marathon Petroleum Corporation in Saint Paul, MN, is hiring a Refinery Operator Trainee. You will work 12-hour rotating shifts to oversee day-to-day refinery operations and progress through training to higher roles within the plant.

Qualifications

• Basic math, reading, writing and verbal skills.
• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• TWIC and Boiler’s License are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of refinery units or tank farms.
• Conduct rounds, monitor equipment, and record readings.
• Make adjustments and troubleshoot process/equipment issues.
• Respond to upsets and emergencies, including firefighting and isolation.
• Learn refining operations and qualify on process/tank farm loading jobs.
• Work up to the console operator position using computer systems.
• Work outdoors in varying climates around noise, heat and heights.
