Job summary

Kern Energy is seeking a Refinery Laborer to join the Maintenance Department and support refinery equipment upkeep and facility cleanliness. You will work with multiple trades to ensure a safe, environmentally compliant operation and uphold Kern Energy’s core values of teamwork, safety, excellence, integrity, and connection.

The role requires basic refinery knowledge, a high school diploma, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions, including nights or overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of refinery processes and operations.

• Basic mechanical aptitude for maintenance tasks.
• Ability to communicate clearly and report issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks at the refinery, including material handling and cleaning.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area, adhering to PPE guidelines.
• Collaborate with pipe fitters, mechanics, and other staff to complete tasks.
• Assist with equipment repairs and basic inspections to prevent downtime.
• Record readings and work activities in CMMS and prepare reports on operations.
